The Comic Artist and What
Journal Entry: Mon May 5, 2008, 7:34 PM
When I first started drawing Lint fer real like (which I would say was around Chapter 2 or so), I set myself on a tough schedule to keep myself drawing. The whole point, really, was to make myself do it regularly so my art skill would increase. Sure it would have been easier with my frantic life to do it whenever I felt like it, but would I have gotten very good if I'd only drawn a few pages each year?
No, probably not.
But there's also been a sort of residual effect from the method I've used to acquire skill in drawing and painting, and that is the frenetic pace of making and outputting comics keeps me from wanting to EVER take time on a piece of art. I almost never will go back to something I've worked on and fix details, and if I don't finish a painting in two hours, it doesn't get finished. My subconscious is all about the latest and greatest, not about perfecting what I've already got... and I see that as a flaw. Problem is I don't really know how to fix it.

I love your comic so much I really should make fanart. Your characters look really fun to draw.

I think you should stop eating other people's brains. It really isn't good for your complexion.

Love the world, and you'll find it loves you back.
Looks pretty cool, though. Wish I had time to play games, what with all of this artsy stuff I do.
A change has to start somewhere.
you'll be glad you did. seriously. your eyes will yelp with pleasure.
I have to tell you that I've become infatuated with your comic, Lint, and if you end up killing off Xylic I will be VERY UNHAPPY WITH YOU.
(he's my favorite).
